Terms & Conditions

When hiring from HIRE BNE, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Eligibility

  • You must be 18+ to book with us. If under 18, a parent or guardian with the same residential address must make the booking on your behalf.

Cleaning

  • All garments must be returned in the same condition they were hired in.
  • Please be mindful of fake tan, makeup, perfume, food and drinks.
  • DO NOT clean the garment yourself or alter it in any way.
  • If the garment is stained or damaged beyond repair, you may be charged the full RRP and allowed to keep the item.

Damage

  • Notify HIRE BNE immediately if an item is damaged during your hire.
  • You may be charged for repairs or dry-cleaning.
  • If damage is irreparable, you will be charged the RRP in addition to the hire fee, and the item is yours to keep.

Postage

  • We recommend placing postal hire orders before 4PM Tuesday to ensure delivery by the weekend.
  • HIRE BNE is not responsible for delays caused by Australia Post.

Pick-Ups

  • Pick-up is by appointment only. We’ll contact you when your item is ready, along with collection details.

Refunds

  • No refunds for change of mind, event cancellations, wrong size, or booking errors.
  • At our discretion, store credit may be offered (minus a $30 cancellation fee).
  • To be eligible, returns must be made via express post or drop-off by 4PM Friday.
  • This does not apply to late deliveries.

Late Deliveries

  • If your item arrives late due to Australia Post, you’ll receive a store credit for the value of the hire +10%, minus postage.
  • We do not issue refunds for postal delays.

Returns

  • Postal returns: Item must be sent back via express post by 4PM the next business day after your event, or incur a $15/day late fee.
  • Pick-up returns: Item must be dropped off by 5PM the next business day, or incur a $15/day late fee.

Incorrect Returns

  • If your return is late, sent by standard post, or to the wrong address — you may be charged compensation.
  • If your late return causes another hire to be cancelled, you are liable for the lost hire.

Try-Ons

  • A $10 non-refundable fee is required to book a try-on appointment (deducted from your hire if booked within 48 hours).
  • Try-ons do not hold or guarantee item availability.
  • Please message us the exact item(s) you wish to try on before your appointment.

Payment

  • Items are only secured once full payment is received.
  • We do not offer holds or partial payments.
  • Cash is accepted.
